National History Day Explination

So my research topic is how the changes in the interpretations of the Second Amendment have affected people. I am going to open my paper with six Supreme Court cases and explain how they can give background to my topic. Just after that, I will use another source that shows what one person believes. Next, I will go into the final three source that I use, which reflect both sides of this topic. Then I will explain how some interpretations help people, and then I will explain how the interpretations may potentially harm people.

I am going to be answering my research question of how the interpretations of the Second Amendment have affected people, especially in recent years. To begin, I will have several findings from the Supreme Court that I will use in order to provide some background information. Directly following that, I will be including a paragraph about a single article that provides some more back ground. Finally, I will go into the topic itself, first showing a neutral article; then an article for potential positive impacts; and lastly an article for potential harmful results.

Audrey - How is ninth grade english different from eighth grade english?

In Ninth Grade English we are given more freedom and also more assistance. This year I finally understood how i needed to write papers, I used to just start writing. We are allowed to sit were we want and don't have to do exactly what the teacher wants. Also, I think the Wordly Wise quiz format is successful this year.

In Eighth Grade English we were in a very strict environment and made to work without much assistance. The desks were arranged specifically. We had to learn the material the same way the teacher wants it and to understand vague instructions. The way that we did wordly wise cards was simpler and also allowed us to learn.

My Topic

My research paper this year is about how the second amendment was created and how have its interpretations changed over the years. This is a topic that affects everyone and that most people could change. This is also very controversial.

This is something that is misinterpreted could cause a great rise in crime, or an inability for people to defend themselves. If politicians make gun laws too strict, then the criminals would still be able to get guns from illegal sources. If gun laws are made too lenient, then there would be gun fights over very small disputes.
